Description of National Safeguard Measures

Safeguarding and Inspection supervision over the implementation of Regulation 1907/2006 / EC is carried out by sanitary inspectors in accordance with the regulations governing the scope of work and powers of Sanitary Inspection (of the Ministry of Health and Local Government) and supervision of hazardous chemicals. Administrative oversight over the implementation of Regulation 1907/2006 / EC and this Act is carried out by the Ministry of Health.

National Bodies Involved

Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia is the responsible body in Republic of Croatia for all REACH matters, including defence exemptions issues. Broad supporting role holds Croatian Institute of Public Health. Also, if necessary, Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia provides information for Ministry of Health within the scope of defence exemption issues on case-to-case basis.

Where to File an Application

The Ministry of Health in accordance with the Act on the Implementation of Regulation (EC) Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals is to assist industry in the implementation of this Regulation.

Conditions/Procedures for Acknowledgment/Recognition of Foreign Defence Exemptions

Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia is the responsible body in Republic of Croatia for all REACH matters, including foreign defence exemptions and follows the same conditions and procedures as non-defence exemptions.

No defence exemptions have been granted to date.
